Steps to Becoming an ASU Entrepreneur

  1. Make Your Ideas Happen
From student programs to community-wide initiatives, ASU offers programs that provide resources and support for early-stage entrepreneurs as their ideas begin to take shape.
  2. Expand Your Knowledge
ASU provides a wealth of opportunities to learn about entrepreneurship and innovation in the classroom and beyond, offering nearly 90 entrepreneurship courses, the Rapid startup school, internships, and workshops.
  3. Find Resources
There are a rich array of resources designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs move their ideas forward, offering everything from mentoring to legal services to office space.
  4. Launch a Venture
Start by submitting an Invention Disclosure form to AzTE. In addition to the resources that we offer at AzTE there are other accelerator programs such as the Arizona Furnace Technology Transfer Accelerator and the Edson Student Entrepreneur Initiative. Our team will assist with the formation of your company and the negotiation of a license agreement which will transfer the commercial rights to your startup.
  5. Build Community
You will work with the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Group (EIG) to assist you with the growth of your company for a six month acceleration period.  The EIG works to build Arizona’s entrepreneurial ecosystem by leading community-wide initiatives that bring together the state’s entrepreneurs, problem-solvers and innovators and provide resources and support.
